Maytown Ricky Lee (Ricky) was broken-in in 2011 and had a few rides under saddle before he unfortunately sustained a paddock injury that broke his iliac crest. Although the injury left him pain free, his riding career was ruined due to unsoundness. 

 

Ricky remains at our stud because of his gentle nature and his ability to look after weaning foals. 

 

Ricky was given to Regan Weightman as a gift before Mr. Brian Bird died, leaving Ricky with sentimental value.

 

However, Regan is positive that if Ricky hadn't had hurt himself, he would be just as successful as his half sister, Maytown Brianna Lee.
